A huge amount of thought and care goes into making our carpets, rugs and runners the best they can be. We’re design-led, sticklers for quality in production and always testing out new techniques to surprise and delight people through colour, pattern and texture. We even have our own way of describing our unique carpet-making capabilities. We call it ‘manu-crafting’, combining expert craftsmanship with the latest manufacturing technology in action.
People
Textile flooring is our first love, but we care most about people. Our products are an intricate meeting of independent minds and makers, involving the likes of farmers, graders, spinners, weavers, dyers, designers, manufacturers and retailers. For all of these specialists, and for our treasured customers, we want the experience of working with Alternative Flooring to be a fun, inspiring and fulfilling one. Happily, our brilliant multi-talented team can always be relied on to fire imaginations, exceed expectations and raise a smile.

Doing the right thing means the world to us. We make carpets with a conscience, being totally transparent about what’s in our products and using ethically-sourced natural fibres wherever we can. Where hard-wearing synthetic fabrics are the only practical option, our timeless designs and production quality can be trusted to last, cutting the resource cost of wasteful replacements. We see it as smart sustainability. It’s the same philosophy that sees us promoting the wellbeing of everyone on Team Alternative Flooring, from our in-house team to every wonderful individual involved in manucrafting our products.
