Show Me My Room. She’s a dab hand at all things digital and can show you around this game-changing visualiser for floors.
So, it’s time for a chat. Here’s our Q&A.
WHAT IS SHOW ME MY ROOM?
Show Me My Room is an easy to use, online visualisation tool where you can quickly see and get a feel for any one of our carpets in your own interior space. There are only four simple steps with no fiddly masking or technical photo editing required – Show Me My Room does it all for you.
WHY NOW?
Technology has advanced so quickly in the last few years and we are starting to see an emergence of artifical intelligence being used in all industry, but especially interiors, to help consumers get a feel for what different wall colours, fabrics, furniture and now carpets will look like in their homes. A lot of feedback we receive for our bold striped carpets and the patterned floorcoverings like the Quirky B collection, is that it is difficult to really imagine what the designs will look like in a larger scale from the samples. This is why we decided that we wanted to explore a way of using current technology and adapting it to create a branded visualisation tool that would be accessible to everyone and most importantly very easy to use.

WHAT MAKES THIS VISUALISER SPECIAL?
We love it because it can be used by absolutely anyone, even those with very limited digital knowledge. As long as you have a photo of your interior space which you can upload to your PC, mobile phone or tablet, or can take a photo with your mobile or tablet, then you can use our visualiser. Plus it works on the unique 4-digit product code that we give to every single one of our carpets, you don’t have type any complicated names or search to find your favourite carpet, just tap in its code number and off you go.
Show Me My Room – Step by step guide
IS IT EASY AND WHAT ARE THE STEPS?
The most important aspect when creating Show Me My Room was that it had to be easy to use. We managed to get it down to just 4 simple steps,
- Scan the QR code for Show Me My Room which will be added to our promotional literature and in store point of sale, or visit showmemyroom.com – this link can also be found on our website.
- Click ‘Let’s Go’ and enter the 4-digit product code for your chosen carpet. The 4-digit product codes can be found on the back of our samples, in our brochure or on our website. ‘Tick’.
- Upload a photo of your interior space from your photo library or take a new photo in the moment
- Wait for Show Me My Room to do the rest…
There are of course other handy links within Show Me My Room to save carpets to a ‘Favourites’ library which will be remembered each time you access the visualiser, order samples or search for your local Alternative Flooring retailer.

HAVE YOU USED IT IN YOUR OWN HOME?
Absolutely! I think I may have a taken a photo of every room in our home… I have fallen in love with our new Quirky B Margo Selby Button Black patterned carpet but would never have been able to imagine it in my own home. However, after seeing it on Show Me My Room in our bedroom perhaps I might be able to convince my husband!
CAN YOU USE FOR RUGS AS WELL AS CARPETS?
At the moment Show Me My Room is only intended for visualising how a wall to wall carpet may look in an interior space. Our Make Me A Rug online rug builder is great for making bespoke sized rugs so maybe we should get the two working together. ?

IS IT GOOD FOR PATTERN?
It is perfect for patterned carpets. We have so many bold and vibrant patterned carpet designs in our collection meaning that Show Me My Room is the simple solution help a consumer feel more confident about how the pattern that they see (and love) in our brochure, on their sample or in one of our lifestyle images will translate into their own personal space.
WHAT DO INTERIOR DESIGNERS SAY?
We hope that Show Me My Room will help Interior Designers inspire their clients. We love moodboards, they are an amazing way to bring together colours, textures and materials. We hope that Show Me My Room will enhance this for an Interior Designer and help bring their vision of what they feel should be underfoot to life when presenting to their client.

AND RETAILERS?
In the same way that Interior Designers need to inspire clients, so do retailers. Choosing a new carpet for your home is a big investment purchase for most people and we all want to feel confident that we are making the right choice. The bolder striped and patterned carpets may be off putting to some, as although they may love them, they might worry how it would look in their own home and are they willing to ‘risk it’? We hope that Show Me My Room helps the retailer guide their customers through the choosing process and instill more confidence in making a purchase once they can easily visualise their favourite carpets in their own spaces better.
