If you've chosen a neutral wool carpet, it’s best to use a vacuum cleaner with brushes to remove any surface fluffing just in the first few weeks. After that, brushes can be switched off or a suction only vacuum used.

If you've chosen a sisal as your neutral carpet, then remember: Natural plant fibres don’t like to get wet and even water could potentially leave marks, so ensure you are treating spills quickly by blotting with a white, clean cloth.
