Samples & Advice

Carpets are touchy feely products. Colour, pattern and texture are all important .

Our Flagship stores showcase all our Alternative Flooring products, including our Quirky pattern carpets in large samples. This will help you choose which of our floor covering are right for you.

Our retail partners can arrange for sampling to be sent to your home and in some cases will bring suitable samples to your home to select from.

Measuring & Planning

If you are going for a fully fitted carpet or a runner for your stairs getting the right measurements are vital. 

• Visiting your home is so important - not only to measure accurately but to check the floor the carpet is going to be laid on the sub floor). Poor sub floors may need repair or plywood applied.
• What’s underneath?  - this can make all the difference the look  and feel of your flooring. Our retail partners will advise on adhesives and that all important underlay. The underwear of flooring.
• Many of our carpets have patterns so planning how the pattern is going to run in the room or on the stairs is important.
• Also, many of our carpets come in 5m widths, so with careful planning you can avoid buying more carpet than you need by planning with the wider width.
• Our retail partners will also work with our Alternative Team if templating for a runner on a turning stair case. All part of the service.

Fitting & Old Carpet Disposal

• We advise that our natural fibre floor coverings are acclimatised in the home,  48 hours before fitting. Our retail partners will help you with this.
• Many of retail partners will move furniture prior to fitting and re place furniture once the fitting has happened.
• Our partners will fit properly. They will check the flooring before purchase just to make sure everything is as it should be.
• They will use the correct fitting method as per our guidelines.
• And importantly they will take away and dispose of your old floor covering so no one needs to get they hands dirty. Perfect.
