Byrver Flooring are an independently run business that have been in the local area since the 1980’s. Showcasing ALL our wonderful products in our latest display format, our eye-catching and easy to use Play Studio. Bring along your paint charts and fabric samples and choose at your leisure.

Customers can be assured of a warm welcome in store not just from Directors, Billy Crow and Freddie Doe, but also from Alan, Ollie and Caroline who look after the front of house and will help expertly advise on your new flooring design.

We had a quick Q&A with the team at Byrver Flooring to find out a little bit more about them...

We think you're great, but why should local people visit your store?

“Because we have the best showroom around, the best-looking staff, and a Black Labrador named Reggie; please call in for a mug of coffee. We also have a huge range of Alternative Flooring products to choose from.”

What do you love about your local area? Any Quirky Facts?

“Ware used to have the most amount of pubs in 1 town in the UK.”

What's the best thing about Alternative Flooring? What's your favourite Alternative product?

“It has to be Anywhere Herringbone, extremely versatile, trendy and a top seller.”

Anything else you would like to tell us?

“Back in the 1900’s, 8a Baldock Street was owned by Walter and Agnes Huggins who founded Huggins House Furniture and Upholstery. The shop was run as a family business until the two gentlemen decided to purchase the building and change it into a carpet shop. They decided to combine their names to come up with a name for the new business, one of their names was Byrnes and the other Oliver. The name of Byrver Flooring has since been synonymous in and around Ware, dealing with all types of domestic and commercial flooring for over 35 years.

For the last 30 Years Carmelo Galati has owned the business and taken it to where we are at present, a successful shop that has a loyal following in Ware and the surrounding areas. With his experience and wise words, Freddie Doe & Billy Crow are confident in taking the company forwards, maintaining the great standards and competitive prices.”
